What is your “bottom line”? The place where you will not retreat as long as you are able to stand firm. If we have a stubborn rather inflexible nature it is all too easy to dig in and refuse to budge or change our minds. Most of us are ambivalent. We have issues where we hold firm but many other issues where we give way with the slightest strong wind of adversity. We may be particularly passionate about our opinion on sports teams or food choices but other issues remain undecided. Believers must be growing toward the ability to stand firm where God directs. Conformity to the culture is often the easier route. Our Lord has said “I will never leave you or forsake you” Heb. 13:5. His never means He remains faithful “no matter what happens “. This wonderful steadfast response to the issues that are central to a Believer’s life make an amazing difference in our world. Our God is at work helping us to draw those important lines in the sand where we will stand firm for Him “no matter what” comes into our lives. We can do it. He will help!
