The dictionary defines Kindness “to be gentle and considerate in one’s manner and conduct toward others”. The Bible says “Love is kind” I Cor. 13:4. Love is most easily received when it is wrapped in Kindness. True Kindness does not confuse its merits by allowing distortions or lies to be used to comfort. Kindness does “speak the truth in love” Eph.4:15. Very often genuine Kindness holds our hands and helps us to walk “through” trouble and does not sidetrack us into self-pity or denial. Kindness is an amazingly powerful fruit of the Holy Spirit’s true work in our lives. Everyone needs Kindness in this powerful supportive understanding form. True Kindness acknowledges reality. Our tongues must be controlled by Kindness. If our language is naturally brusque and harsh with an attitude that everyone needs to face the truth—we need to ask God to sweeten our speech with kindness and love. Believers who learn to walk in Kindness are wonderful tour guides for those in their worlds. They do not deny the truth but they help others deal with the truth whether it is positive or negative and they do it kindly. Very important! Please learn to express Kindness to yourself. Every mistake is not fatal. Mistakes can be learning points. “He (God) Himself is Kind” Luke 6:15. Let’s be those who attempt to make the journey easier with Kindness.
