Solo Act

Many of us find ourselves doing a “solo act.”  We are sheltering at home and often alone.  Others, of course, are dealing with major overcrowding issues.  We all enjoy personal down time but when that down time becomes an order and not a choice, we may struggle.  We may decide to “coast.”  Why dust or clean?  Why make the bed?  Why work at keeping in touch with others?  They should be keeping in touch with me!  Our issues may vary, but the bottom line is the same.  What and how do we respond to daily life when there is no one to check on us?  As you may have thought, however, there is our God who is always watching.  He takes great interest in our responses to new and perhaps difficult circumstances. Always remember, our God wastes nothing.  He says, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6b)  We have a companion, a helper, a coach, and a dear friend who is with us at all times.  Take heart, and if this is your season for a Solo Act, be your best self.  God is at work.
