Dear Believers: Active Waiting is not a contradiction in terms, it is a dynamic assignment for the Lord’s people. There are many times in every life when we find ourselves in the “waiting room.” Some of us find this room an easier place than others. Our God desires to use this “waiting room” for His purposes. We have the option to be an active participant as we “wait.” We can be active watchers to see what God is doing as we wait. We can cooperate with our God by praying for those around us and those who are involved in action while we wait. Believers, our God would have us available to be a positive factor in the “waiting room.” A wonderful motivation for becoming an “active waiter” is this wonderful encouraging reminder, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” (Proverbs 3:5-6) Our God is always at work in our world – Doing good!
