My Friends, if we are experiencing “fear” it’s important to sort our good fear and destructive fear. It’s a good thing to operate under good fear (ie: “Don’t touch a hot stove, it will burn your finger”). Good fear (“Don’t stand too close to a steep drop off on a mountainside”). One of the ways our Heavenly Father guides us is by giving us a signal of caution or fear when we go the wrong way. Praise the Lord for these signals that are an indication of our Father’s care for our wellbeing. On the other hand, we do have an enemy who delights in trying to rule our lives by foolish or debilitating fears … (”If I do this it ‘might’ cause this,” etc.). Hang on tight to these wonderful words … “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and sound mind.” (2 Tim 1:7) Believers need wisdom and courage as we move forward serving others in love. He knows our struggle and anxieties and He meets our needs as we place our confidence and trust in Him. We can be that caring, positive, encouraging person in these new and unexpected times.
