Worth Ethic

We love the attentive helpers in our lives. Those who are pleasant and efficient as they help us in many ways. These are the people who often influence our choices regarding where we go to receive services. I smile to think of my own choices that are based more on the cheerful, helpful workers than on the actual product I’m seeking.  This leads me to assess my own attitude and demeanor in my areas of service.  Work ethics are often defined by the quantity and quality but do not necessarily address attitudes. This may seem like an unnecessary and not cost effective area to evaluate, but for Believers it is important. Not only what we do but how we do it is important to the One we serve. “Whatever you do, do your work heartily as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward.” (Colossians 3:23-24)  Whether we are seen or unseen; whether a supervisor routinely inspects or not; whether the job is paid or volunteer—a Believer has a high standard and careful work ethic.  I’m, proud to know you are out there.
