It’s the New Year and our God has a wonderful word for us. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold I will do something new. Now it will spring forth; will you not be aware if it? I will even make roadways in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” This is a fresh, real message full of impact for each of us. This word from our God is a heart lifter and encouragement for us all. We launch into this New Year with hearts full of hope and encouragement. It is easy to drag disappointment, failures, wounds and even victories, into this New Year. Perhaps a better tactic is to “forget what lies behind and pressing on to what lies ahead.” (Philippians 3:13) Dear Ones, our God is at work in every situation. He allows us the choice to struggle along on our own or to take His hand and bravely launch into all the challenges that He places along our journey. Let’s choose to launch into this year with courage. We need to ask Him for renewed strength, much more love and understanding, and a heart of courage to make a difference for Him in a world of so much heartache and need.
