Recently baggage has become really expensive. Those who used to travel with several pieces of luggage so they had available all the desirable options, now find those options will cost them. Many decide to trim down their needs and opt to travel light. What a great spiritual challenge as well! Many of us continue to carry baggage that is not only unnecessary but may also be contributing to that “kink” in our physical or spiritual back. Wounds, sins of omission and commission, resentments, inadequate feelings, and a myriad of other personal items are excess baggage. It is so freeing and heart lifting to give all this excess stuff to our Heavenly Baggage Master. I love to say, “There is no failure, only experience.” Leave the baggage and take the wisdom from experience and move on. Don’t limit your future with this unnecessary burden. God is at work in our lives and has a fantastic itinerary. Dear ones, pull all that baggage off the cart. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (I John I:9) Traveling light is a great way to go.
