Friends, as believers we may often manage to keep our public life fairly Christ centered, but I am quite certain that our wonderful Lord is perhaps even more concerned with our life that is led “behind closed doors.” When no one is looking do we reveal the person that we “really” are? Do we allow our critical spirit and careless ways to rule? It may be very profitable to ask our God to reveal this hidden aspect of our lives and to help us become truly authentic followers … with and without an audience. When we allow a residue of negative actions and thoughts we limit the life God intends for us to have, which is a life that is free of the handicap of a negative approach. Who we are behind closed doors is who we are! To excuse this behavior because we think no one else is aware of it is not profitable. God knows what we are thinking and He knows our thoughts impact our lives. “In all your ways acknowledge HIM and He will direct your path.” (Proverbs 3:6)
Our Behind Closed Doors life is very important to God. This is who we really are. Let’s welcome Him in … in order to help us change for the better.
